Nigar Arpadarai, High-Level Champion of COP29 said:
“The second day of Baku Climate Action Week has been about showing what happens when all parts of society act in the same direction. International cooperation combined with the energy of business, finance, youth and civil society is what drives the clean-energy transition forward. The legacy of COP29 depends on this wider mobilisation. Today in Baku we have seen how that collective leadership is already shaping a more inclusive and effective response.”
Leyla Hasanova, Youth Champion of COP29 said:
“Today has put youth leadership at the heart of Baku Climate Action Week. From driving clean energy solutions to shaping international cooperation, young people are showing that we are not waiting for the future, we are leading it. By working with governments, business and civil society, we are proving that the transition can only succeed if it is inclusive and driven by every generation.”
Overall, Day Two demonstrated how global collaboration, corporate innovation and youth leadership are translating COP29 breakthroughs into real-world progress. By hosting these discussions, Azerbaijan underlined how the legacy of COP29 is driving national transformation while providing a platform for international partners to share, learn and build momentum together.
