Following the success of COP29 and the inaugural Baku Climate Action Week last year, Azerbaijan is once again host to a major international gathering of climate change leaders on the banks of the Caspian Sea.

From Monday 29th September to Friday 3rd October, we will be hosting leaders from business and industry, international institutions, academia and professionals, civil society, youth and others, to continue the momentum with Baku Climate Action Week 2025.

Our capital city is famed worldwide for its combination of stylish modern architecture, green parks, ocean boulevards, and UNESCO World Heritage sites. With BCAW 2025, it has now become established as the host of the region’s leading gathering of professionals delivering climate solutions.

Together we will add collective effort to the global Mutirao called for by Brazil’s COP30 Presidency and deliver dynamism from Baku to Belem in November 2025.

We look forward to you joining us in this journey,

Nigar Arpadarai
UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29

Baku Climate Action Week is held under the auspices of the COP29 High-Level Champion, Nigar Arpadarai,
working with a variety of national, regional and international partners to deliver the week’s activities.

The programme is being developed in partnership with London Climate Action Week and curated by Malini Mehra, Programme Director, supported by Caspian Event Organisers, the High Level Champions team, local professionals and partner organisations, including Baku State University and ADA University.

We are grateful to all for their efforts and support.
